Profile of Group/Instituiton:
Vikas Kumar Jha did his Masters in Technology & Development at IIT Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
He was always passionate about designing simple structures that are useful to our farmers with this idea he formed a company called RuKart Technogies.
RuKart has been developing affordable, robust, and scalable solutions for the marginal/ women farmers market.
The objectives are;
1. To reduce the input cost in cultivation
2. Bring economical and environmental sustainability in farming for marginal farmers. Reduces post harvest losses and distress
Subjee Cooler is the cooling unit, which only needs water and does not run on electricity, keeps vegetables fresh for longer, which means farmers don’t have to sell their produce at throwaway prices.
